Koczera pictured a violent storm a mean solar day before , on May 24 , that he think might have been the cause of this island .

An island of this size , though , isquite strange . It ’s estimated at about a mile long and at least three football pitches widely .

There ’s a powerful rip current fly the coop between Cape Point and the island , mean getting there is not easygoing . And even if you make it onto the island , it might not be too idyllic . While there are plenty of seashell there , whale off-white and discarded fishing hooks are also sticking out of the soil .

Local official have warned not to try and drown or take the air to it , due to the powerful current . There may also be a few shark in the arena , so prophylactic is a fear .

It ’s not clear-cut how long the island will stay for , specially with the changeable conditions in the domain , But it ’s pretty neat that this sandbar basically appeared from nowhere ,   giving us a abbreviated glimpse before it melt from view .
