I am going to do this track - by - racecourse countdown to the release , on February 13 , 2014 , the day prior to Valentine ’s Day , of my Word in the honorable 33 1/3 serial publication . It is a love varsity letter to Aphex Twin ’s album Selected Ambient Works Volume II , which will mark its 20th anniversary this year , less than a calendar month after my Word of God ’s publication . More on my Aphex Twin book atamazon.comandBloomsbury.com . The plan is to do this countdown in the rearward order , from last raceway to first . For consultation , an early potation of the debut is online , as isthe book ’s seven - chapter table of contents . The book ’s publishing house postedan interview with mewhen I was midway through the penning process .
There is some irony to doing this countdown since the Christian Bible is already shipping to folks who pre - ordered it via an on-line retailer such asAmazon , but the official date put up , and that ’s the target — the end appointment — of this countdown , February 13 .
It certainly is exciting to see it kill up in provender by people whom you ’ve never met :

This is another in the album ’s pieces of dumb levelheaded design as song , a long passage of drones that nearly top out out , that challenge some stereos , and thus challenge the approximation of this being quiet music . It has a outspoken , as do other running on the album , but as is generally the casing , that vocal is more choral and remote , one drone strain among many . This is music for drear corridor . Heck , this is the medicine of dark corridors .
