Batwoman ’s producers did n’t affirm when Kate ’s Jewish heritage will factor into the series , only that they want it to happen organically . But TV Line reported that some of actress Ruby Rose ’s personal tattoo , notably the I of crosses , are being interpolate with make-up .
Some fans still have concern over whether Rose should be playing a eccentric who is Jewish when she herself is not . There was some repercussion after she was cast last class , withsome folksin the Jewish community compare the move to whitewashing .
