This preceding week , paper have come outabout a top surreptitious US drone base inside Saudi Arabia . The base was built two years ago , had been used for dozens of drone onrush in Yemen and was earlier hidden by the news until it was revealed this week . Yep , satellite images in Google Maps ( which does its just share of blow up secrets ) does n’t show any sorting of airfield al-Qaida . Bing Maps does . Themysterious base , which can be determine here at Bing Maps , is on the Eastern Saudi Arabia - Yemen border and houses three hangars large enough to have US Predator and Reaper drone . The clamshell hangars , which measure about 150 feet long and 75 weet wide , are alike to other groundwork associated with US drones .
What ’s interesting is that this base is expertly concealed . It ’s in the midsection of no where and if you were cruise planet images at typical resolutions , you would n’t see anything . The only way to reveal the secluded base would be to zoom waaaay in . Also , there was no military floor when satellites fly over the region at the end of 2010 . Only in early March of 2012 did this home toss off up . The sudden world of the base matches up with the current metier reports .
