Some disappointment over at Forbes with Palm ’s new Tungsten C , the one with built - in 802.11b :
Using a Tungsten C is rather like driving a Ferrari over cobbled street in a mountain town . It take the widely - unresolved route to show its pace . The Tungsten C ’s great appeal is its wireless connectivity to the cyberspace . But once you get there , the experience is mostly bad . Too few site are optimise for viewing on such a small screen . Not Palm ’s demerit , it ’s true : It has , after all , guide you to the entanglement as assure . But it ’s scarcely worth paying $ 499 for a fast drive to nowhere .
Fair enough , but it ’s the same charge that could be made about any PDA with WiFi , like the Toshiba e740 Pocket PC .
