confessedly , we know very little about what caused Edgar Wright to ill-use down as film director of Ant - Man on Friday , other than the parting was “ amicable ” according to Marvel . But that might not have been the case at all .

Edgar & Joe were upset by the sudden , out of nowhere lack of faith in them as filmmakers . Fiege had always batted for them but this feel like it came from the higher ups .
Directors and studios fight over script all the prison term , peculiarly with summertime blockbusters . What ’s unearthly here is that Marvel ’s scripts have generally been pretty well , correct ? I can imagine Wright want a unknown , zany movie than Marvel had desire , but how did it get to this former date without Marvel and Wright figuring this out ?
Meanwhile , Marvel directors James Gunn and Joss Whedon have made instruction on Wright ’s departure , which are n’t exactly consolatory . Here ’s Gunn’s , from his Facebook :
“ Sometimes you have friends in a relationship . You love each of them in a heartfelt way as individuals and cogitate they ’re amazing people . When they talk to you about their troubles , you do everything you’re able to to sustain them , to keep them together , because if you love them both so much does n’t it make sentiency they should love each other ? But slight by little you realize , at heart , they are n’t mean to be together – not because there ’s anything wrong with either of them , but they just do n’t have personalities that mesh in a comfortable way . They do n’t make each other happy . Although it ’s distressing to see them break , when they do , you ’re surprisingly relieved , and stimulate to see where their life take them next .
It ’s comfortable to try out to make one party “ right-hand ” and another party “ faulty ” when a separation happens , but it often is n’t that simple . Or perhaps it ’s even more simple than that – not everyone go in a relationship together . It does n’t imply they ’re not tremendous people .
And that ’s true of both Edgar Wright and Marvel . One of them is n’t a someone , but I suppose you get what I think . ”
A very diplomatical answer , but it ’s also what Gunn would say if he thought Wright was completely in the right but he wanted to stick on Marvel ’s good side to direct Guardians of the Galaxy 2 .

Is this a show of backing for Wright ? Does Whedon believe Marvel was awry here , and does n’t beware say so because he recognise he ’s Marvel ’s favorable boy ? Is it just a salute to a fellow director ? IS EVERYONE superintendent - irritated AT MARVEL OR IS EVERYTHING ACTUALLY assuredness ? And most of all , is Marvel die to give us a shitty Ant - Man picture ?
