With production on the 4th time of year ofParamount+’sEvilpaused due to the ongoing writer strike , fans may have to wait a number longer see just what the sin ( pun intended ) is going to bump after that scandalous time of year - three finale . A new interview with the show ’s Divine , however , offers some tantalizing hints .
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly , Evil Godhead Robert and Michelle King revealed that season four will indeed pick up right after the cliffhanger . That means the potential antichrist — the surrogate - carried spawn ofdevil ’s disciple Leland Townsend(Michael Emerson ) and unwilling bollock donorKristen Bouchard ( Katja Herbers)—may not have been born … yet . But it sounds like Leland ’s impendent daddy obligation might be his most perilous test ever .
“ One of the things that excites us is going the more normal route with things that are usually very dramatic in revulsion or supernatural show , ” Robert King severalise EW . “ baby are nightmare enough . You do n’t ask lightning and thunder and all that . baby sick on their own ! They do n’t need to have the devil inside them to be chuck pea soup ! ”

As for Kristen , the Kings tease her home plate spirit — always chaotic , considering her mountain - climbing married man ( who was held captive and brainwashed for much of time of year three ) ; her slippery mother ( played by Christine Lahti , a consistent Evil vista - stealer ) ; and her pack of energetic tweenage daughters — won’t exactly be proportionate either . “ We have sex the mind of a habitation sprightliness being really mussy , and yet you still have to get up in the morning and go to oeuvre , ” Michelle King severalise EW . “ Even if the mess involves the supernatural and how your female parent may or may not be collaborate with the Lucifer … you ’ve start a job you need to get to . ”
The Kings would n’t spill on any of the new case Kristen , Ben ( Aasif Mandvi ) and David ( Mike Colter ) will investigate this season , but they do confirm Father Frank ( the always delightful Wallace Shawn ) will be the trio ’s new political boss at the Catholic Church , and take note “ science is a major theme this time of year . ” There will also be “ new creatures ” to create some newfangled nightmares .
