Kaitlyn Deveris celebrating her mother Kathy’s birthday, nine months after Kathy died frombreast cancer.
Dever, 27, shared a photo of herself as an infant resting on Kathy’s chest while her mother also appeared to nap toInstagramon Wednesday, Dec. 4. “Happy heavenly birthday mama 🕊️,” she captioned the post.
The image is one of several photos and videos Dever has shared on social media honoring her mother’s life in the nine months since sheannounced Kathy’s deathon Feb. 21. Since then, Dever has sharedfootage of her mother figure skating,selfiesthat featured Kathy and Kaitlyn’s two younger sisters andthrowback photos of her parentsto Instagram.

Dever, known for movies likeNo One Will Save You, wrote an emotional tribute to her mother at the time she announced Kathy’s death in February.
“I’m grateful that you gave me Mady, Jane, and Dad…we’ll always have each other to lean on because of you. You were the greatest mom and wife anyone could ever ever ask for,” she shared in a caption at that time. “Thank you for fighting so hard for us for so long. I am forever, forever, grateful for the special time we got to spend with you, sweet mama…it will never be enough.”
In October, Dever shared aphoto to Instagramof herselfgetting an MRI during a breast cancer screeningand encouraged followers to get screened more often. She noted in that post that her mother “was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer at 39 years old, before the recommended age at that time to get screened/checked for breast cancer.”
“I’m grateful for the knowledge and wisdom my mom left me with and I’m coming on here to share some of that wisdom with you all,” she continued. “Your health is important, take control of it…in the best way that you can.❤️.”
