On Sunday, the Prince and Princess of Wales’ team posted a new feature onXto look back at the couple’s royal engagements in September. Prince William and Princess Kate, both 41, returned to work last month followinga summer breakfrom late July to August and stepped out again afterPrince George, 10,Princess Charlotte, 8, andPrince Louis, 5, returned to the classroom at theLambrook School.

“Welcome to the September Rewind with The Prince and Princess of Wales,” Kensington Royal’s thread began with a pointed finger emoji and rolled to repost recaps from recent outings.

“Starting the month with@HomewardsUK. Exploring how local businesses can help end homelessness in Bournemouth with@StevenBartlett,@Pretand@afcbournemouth,” the first message read, reposting the look back at Prince William’s Sept. 7 visit to aPret caféin Bournemouth, England for hisHomewards campaign. The new initiative, which kicked off in June, will provide $3.8 million to six different locations as seed money for an ambitious plan to make homelessness “rare, brief and unrepeated” in a five-year plan.

“Charles is leading the way for them already, and [William and Kate] are both involved in decision-making behind the scenes. They are ready and willing to do the job— and Kate is very much a part of that,” a friend of the princess previouslytold PEOPLE.

The next thread was a video about their second stop of the day — Câr-Y-Môr Seaweed Farm, the first “regenerative ocean farm” in Wales and a key partner of Notpla, the sustainable packaging start-up and winner of the 2022Earthshot Prizefor “Build a Waste-Free World.”

William and Kate’s team then reshared a video on the Duchy of Cornwall’s new Mental Health Strategy in partnership with We Are Farming Minds. The video coincided with the couple’s Sept. 14 visit to the charity in Hereford, which works to prevent suicide in the local, rural community and raise awareness around the importance of mental health. William inherited the Duchy of Cornwall from his father King Charles upon Queen Elizabeth’s death last year and the lucrative Duchy that comes with it. The estate of farmland, property and commercial businesses is worth around $1.3 billion.

The rewind rolled to highlights from William’s “busy few days in New York” from his two-dayU.S. visit, including the announcement of the15 finalists in the runningfor the 2023 Earthshot Prize. The cohort was announced at the second annual Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit in New York City on Sept. 19, and five finalists — who will be revealed at the 2023 Earthshot Prize Awads Ceremony in Singapore on Nov. 7 — will receive $1.2 million and support to scale their environmental solutions to size.

The September Rewind closed with videos on the Billion Oyster Project, a nonprofit working to restore oyster reefs to New York Harbor, whichWilliam visitedon Sept. 18, and a behind-the-scenes glimpse of Kate’s trip to theRoyal Naval Air Station Yeoviltonthe same day. The stop doubled as her debut as the Commodore-in-Chief of the Fleet Air Arm; over the summer, King Charles appointed his daughter-in-law to the position in a royal role reshuffled fromPrince Andrew, who held the position until 2022.

The update comes after it was confirmed Princess Katewill not join her husbandat the upcoming Earthshot Prize Awards Ceremony in Singapore on Nov. 7. Instead, she will stay home to look after their three children during an important week. PEOPLE understands that Prince George has school exams that week, and his mother will be at home in Windsor to support him.

The update comes after Prince Williamofficially confirmedhe would travel to Singapore for the special event during the Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit in Manhattan on Sept. 19.

Princess Kate will break tradition when she misses the third annual awards ceremony, which she has attended for the last two years. Prince Williamlaunched the Earthshot Prizein 2020 to promote impactful approaches to the world’s most pressing environmental challenges, with plans to award the prizes until 2030.
