Lauren Sánchezmay be the apple ofJeff Bezos’ eye, but apparently, she is not the subject of the famous statue aboard his $500 million megayacht.
Freyja is one of Bezos’s favorite mythological figures, Sánchez said. “I’m very flattered, but it’s not [me],” she added, suggesting that if it were modeled after her, the figure would have larger breasts.
Sánchez touched on a variety of topics in the wide-ranging interview, including her plans to visit space with an all-female crew in the near future.
Sánchez firstannounced her plan to visit spacewith an all-female crew in a 2022 interview with CNN. Originally, she hoped to launch into orbit in 2023.
Now, it appears the trip is planned for 2024. According toVogue, Sánchez plans to board “the New Shepard” — a 60-foot, reusable suborbital rocket created from Blue Origin — with five other women, whose identities remain secret.

Sánchez also remains committed to her and her fiancé’s philanthropic endeavors, such as the Bezos Earth Fund and the Bezos Academy, according toVogue.
“We really want to do the most we can with the dollars that we put into things,” Sánchez said. “It’s not about just giving the money away. It’s about being involved.”
Sánchez, the Vice Chair ofthe Bezos Earth Fund, is described as being “dedicated to fighting climate change and the protection of nature” on the fund’s website. However, both Sánchez and her fiancé have faced criticism for their carbon footprint.
Responding to the critiques, Sánchez toldVoguethat she and Bezos “are focusing on the long-term commitment to climate, and we’re extremely optimistic about it.”
In addition to opting for green aviation fuel whenever possible, Sánchez said Bezos’ yacht, Koru, can sail solely on wind power and has done so in the past. “We’ve done it and it is magical,” she told the magazine.

Sánchez is“100 percent” looking forward toher upcoming wedding, according to the profile. The two began dating in early 2019, shortly after they both divorced from their previous partners.
But so far, the couple has seemingly not gotten too far with wedding planning. “We’re still thinking about the wedding [and] what it’s going to be,” Sánchez said. “Is it going to be big? Is it going to be overseas? We don’t know yet. We’ve only been engaged five months!”
Meanwhile, Bezos suggested that he was not involved in the planning process. “Oh, God, no. Do I look that dumb?” he quipped.
