The county coroner eventually ruled the death as a homicide and attributed it to a “drowning like” incident at their Cincinnati, Ohio home.

Molly, who was 27 at the time of Jayden’s death, has said prior to the incident she had a long day of work cleaning houses, and had returned home to host a dinner with guests.

After the guests left, she allegedly gave the child Benadryl because he had an allergic reaction to Nutella, and his face broke out in rashes, the court document states. She put him in the bathtub and left him in the tub for over an hour.

During this time, she cleaned the kitchen and at one point, while sitting down, fell asleep. She would wake up to realize she had left her son in the tub and find him non-responsive.

She was charged with child endangerment and involuntary manslaughter, and was being held for a bail amount of $750,000, according to court documents PEOPLE reviewed.
