Paramoreis paying tribute to another beloved, innovative band who came before them.
According to ateaserthat the trio featuringHayley Williams, Taylor York and Zac Farro released, they’ll soon release a cover of the legendary art-rock group’s hit “Burning Down the House.”
In the clip, which Paramore and A24 bothshared on Instagram, Williams, 35, is seen running through a dimly lit house with a large, cardboard box. Once the “Ain’t It Fun” singer sets down the package, she opens it only to reveal none other than a replica of Talking Heads frontmanDavid Byrne’s memorable, oversized suit from the 1983 documentary.
Picking up a cassette next to a boom box, the singer says, “I got a tape I’d like to play you,” making a reference to a line that Byrne, 71, says on stage in the concert film.

When A24 shared the teaser, they announced the compilation album will feature “16 tracks from 16 artists.” Although the distributor was tight-lipped about who else will appear on the upcoming project, they also wrote that it was “coming soon.”

Paramore’s “Burning Down the House” cover marks their first release since they wiped their social media and official website of all content last week. Although fans speculated that it might have meant a split was imminent, especially since they recently pulled out of the ALTer EGO music festival,Varietyreported that the band is remaining intact.
According to the outlet, their clean slates comes after the trio completed their 20-year-long contract with Atlantic Records.
The band’s upcoming appearance on the Talking Heads tribute album isn’t the first time they’ve shown their love for the new wave stars or teamed up with the band’s legendary frontman.
Over the summer, Byrne, stepped out to support the alt rockers at one of their Madison Square Garden concerts in New York City. Fansspotted him in the crowddancing along to their set, and photos of the band hanging out with the rock star backstage later surfaced onsocial media.

Williams even reflected on the experience in an interview withVogue. “For night two, we made a new best friend because David Byrne rode his bike to our show,” says Williams, calling his visit one of their favorite shows from their 2023 tour.
“He came and watched us play, and hung out after the show,” the “Misery Business” singer added.
In October 2023,Stereogumreported that when the Grammy-nominated band appeared in a panel atThe New YorkerFestival, they revealed that they actually have an unreleased collaboration with Byrne.
Williams shared at the time that the “Psycho Killer” singer was originally supposed to appear on their remix rendition of their 2023 album,Re: This Is Why, but they decided to save it.
“All I’m going to say is it’s f—ing insane. It’s incredible. It’s unreal. And hopefully, it won’t be too long before we get to share it,” the pop-punk icon said. “But we decided it was too special and we needed to wait and there’s more to that story and you’ll know all about it as soon as we’re able to share.”
