The Swedish Royal Court has given an update on the royal’s pregnancy to the Swedish’sSvensk Damtidingmagazine. “Princess Sofia is still fine, and everything is going well,” they said in a statement.

Princess Sofia’spregnancy newscame in December, shortly after she and husband Prince Carl Philip announced that they hadtested positive for coronavirusand were quarantining.

The royal couple began to experience flu-like symptoms in late November, not long after family members gathered to mourn Queen Silvia’s brother, Walther Sommerlath, who died on Oct. 23.

Princess Sofia, 36, has been praised for her efforts to help amid the pandemic. In April, in order to help ease the strain on the healthcare system, she completed an intensive online training program in orderto volunteer at Sophiahemmet Hospital, of which she is Honorary Chair.

Prince Carl Philip’s father, King Carl XVI Gustaf, announced in October 2019 that he decided tostrip the HRH titlesfrom children of Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia as well as his daughterPrincess Madeleineand Chris O’Neill.
