Shannon Beadoris still struggling to navigate her relationship with ex-husbandDavid Beador.
Duringpart oneof theReal Housewives of Orange Countyreunion on Wednesday, Shannon said she and David, whosplitthree years ago after 17 years of marriage, barely speak.
“Two in a half years in, it’s just flippin' awkward,” she said. “He won’t communicate with me and co-parent.”
Reached for comment on Thursday, David told PEOPLE, “In the best interest of my children, I have no comment.”
Shannon and David, both 56,finalized their divorcein 2019. The exes share three daughters — twinsStella and Adeline, 16, andSophie, 19.
“I tried to introduce [David and John] a year ago and they never met,” Shannon said on Wednesday’s episode. “I’ve never met his wife. But they’ve run into each other a few times.”
But while Shannon and David’s relationship may remain rocky, the reality star said she and John couldn’t be more solid — despite hitting a few speed bumps while self-isolating together during thecoronavirus pandemic.
“There were some periods during COVID when you’re locked up together 24/7,” she said. “I’ve clashed with John’s kids and he clashed with mine.”

Shannon met Janssen through a mutual friend andwent public with their relationshiplast July.
Like Shannon, Janssen is a divorced parent of three and a graduate of the University of Southern California. They both studied there at the same time, though they didn’t know each other. He now works as a partner at an insurance firm.
The mother of three previously told to PEOPLE thatJanssen was a “great guy” with a “kind heart.”
“[John’s] just a great person,” she told PEOPLE. “If I were to make a list of the perfect person for me, he has all those attributes. You see it in movies and you think it’s not real. I’ve never been happier.”
